Edson is a 42-year-old Zimbabwean missionary. He comes from the city of Bulawayo, from a non-Catholic family. As a child he was inspired by his friends to get baptized in the Catholic Church.
After joining the missionaries, he did his formation in Zambia, Ghana, and Kenya, and was ordained in 2012. His first mission was Dlamini.
Currently he works in our rural mission of Gomoza where he enjoys a bit of farming and a lot of pastoral work with local community. His heart burns for justice for poor and oppressed, for weak and neglected. He is also the director of Biblical Apostolate for Hwange Diocese.

Pray for the missionaries and their efforts. Your spiritual support is the most important one. The work of missionaries is being blessed and the hearts of people are opening for the Gospel, as you pray:
you sent your Son, the Divine Word,
into the world as a missionary
to save every person.
Before he ascended into heaven,
he commissioned his Church
to go out and spread the Good News.

your call to be a missionary.
Grant him the light, strength,
and courage of the Holy Spirit
to win people for Christ.
Encourage Fr. Edson Mlambo Tshuma SVD with words of faith. Missionary work is difficult and missionaries may often feel discouraged. If you believe that their effort is valuable and you appreciate what they do, you should tell them. A few honest words may help a lot.
